We are currently reading Bullfrog in Magnolia Circle, by Denise Dennard. Using this text, we are focusing on reading using evidence from the text and illustrations to support our thinking. To express our understanding of the text, we are working on creating complete paragraphs with topic sentences, supporting details and a concluding sentence.

Content areasIn an interdisciplinary unit on frogs (and toads), we are focusing on the habitats, adaptions and characteristics on various species of frogs (and toads). We are conducting research in the library with Mrs. Nelson using "The Big Six" research process. In STEM, with Mr. Cunningham, we are designing experiments to understand why frogs need long legs. We will also be designing our own frogs based upon our experiments and research.

MATHEMATICS
We are exploring the concepts of Multiplication and Division utilizing various modalities. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT STUDENTS KNOW THEIR FACT FAMILIES FLUENTLY. Utilizing multiplication and division, we are continuing to work on solving multi-step word problems.
